So now that school's out, I can actually focus on photography. It feels like forever since I've actually done any serious artwork type stuff.

But it's time for me to shake off the cobwebs and get back into it, because as of today, I am doing professional food photography shoots!!! I did my first gig today at a great Indian restaurant (also free food!), and from here on out I'll be looking at working with other Houston area restaurants for promotional purposes, special events, etc. Now I realize that it's a bit more commercial in nature, but hey, money talks. This summer I'm planning to build up two portfolios: one for commercial food photography, and one for artsy stuff. Since my parents want me to have something to show the colleges pertaining to my hobbies, I figure it's good to have an actual application of my skills on record.

Moving forward, I think it would be cool to do some actual portrait-style work. It's been a bit of a weak suit for me, but with practice I think it would be fun. It's just intimidating to work when your model has a pulse >_> They always look at me so expectantly and I have no idea what to say to them! But especially going into senior year, it would be awesome to do senior portraits for my friends and such, and I feel like I could do a good job. With that said, if anybody I know who would be willing to help me practice portraiture and be my model is actually paying attention to this, hmu ;) But in all seriousness. I need models.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'M EXCITED. This summer is gonna be so full of photography. It's gonna be crazy.

I'm weirdly fanatical, I know. Don't judge me.
